Did you know there are over 220 playgrounds in the City of Cockburn?
Each year, the City has a rolling schedule to renew our playground equipment where we replace end of life equipment with a new, similar version. Playgrounds are chosen based on yearly condition inspection reports and as part of the Parks and Environment Asset Management Plan.
This year, eight playgrounds are due for renewal, and we have prepared multiple replacement design options for each. We invite you to let us know your preferred design. You can rate your preferences for each playground renewal option.
Some playground renewals may appear quite different and each will be varied due to innovations in playground design and equipment. Each option aims to offer a similar level of play experience to the current playground equipment. This program does not include significant changes, nature playgrounds or extra elements like shade sails, seating or BBQs.
Playground design options
The City has developed draft designs for each playground renewal. View the locations and draft designs on the project's Comment on Cockburn webpage or visit the link below.
